Thinking Styles Workshop
|
Each person has his or her own unique way of processing information and making meaning from experience. These thinking styles affect every aspect of your mental experience the way you acquire your knowledge, organize your thoughts, form your views and opinions, apply your values, solve problems, make decisions, plan, and express yourself to others. The Mindex Thinking Style Profile is an easy-to-use self-scoring questionnaire booklet that will give your key people a fascinating profile of their preferred thinking styles as well as a series of related dimensions of mental process 20 measurements in all. This stimulating, dynamic, and fast-moving workshop will enable your key people to put these principles of thinking styles to practical use every single day. By understanding their own Mindex profiles, they will become more effective thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders. By learning to recognize the thinking styles of others through verbal and behavioral cues, they can communicate and collaborate more effectively. And by appreciating and valuing all thinking styles, they can work better in teams by capitalizing on all of the available brain power. All workshops are taught by certified Mindex trainers and consultants, who are skilled at making the concepts come alive. |

| High Speed Problem Solving Workshop |
In the new Knowledge Economy, as businesses continue to evolve from "thing-work" toward "think-work," problems and decision issues are becoming ever more complex. The traditional adversarial method of deciding what to do by debate, argumentation, and advocacy is not adequate for this environment. Worse yet, when the people in your organization do not consciously recognize and deliberately attack the critical problems and decision issues facing the business, "no solutions" can be even worse than limited solutions. The traditional process of solving problems by group debate and advocacy has been inefficient, time-consuming, and often ineffective. Attempts to use so-called "creative problem solving" methods have met with variable success. Now, there's a better way. It's called "High Speed Problem Solving," and it's a dynamic, fast-moving process which your people can learn and apply every day. Dr. Karl Albrecht has corrected two critical flaws in the traditional "meeting" method of problem solving: 1) lack of a reliable shared process for moving from problem to solution, and 2) inability to merge the knowledge, know-how, and ideas of all members, caused by premature advocacy and argumentation. In the HSPS workshop, your people will learn to use an elegantly simple yet powerful method that integrates both "wideband" (divergent) thinking and "narrowband" (convergent) thinking to form effective solutions that fully account for all key aspects of the problem and that respect the ideas and points of view of all members. Using the novel concept of "mindzones," or recognizable patterns of information processing, they learn to move freely from zone to zone. They learn to suspend judgment when it's appropriate, and to apply judgment when it's needed. They learn to organize the facts in a disciplined, orderly way, and to use brainstorming and other "far-out" thinking processes as needed. They learn the critical skills of 1) choosing the mindzone that's best suited to the particular stage of the problem solving process, and 2) getting all members to operate in the same mindzone at the same time. They arrive at the "Endzone" the place of action and accountability by an intellectually democratic, yet disciplined, process. They learn to value "what is right, rather than who is right." All workshops are taught by certified HSPS trainers and consultants, who can quickly transfer the knowledge and skills to your people. |

| Brain Power Seminars |

Karl is one of the world's foremost experts on practical thinking skills in the business environment. According to Karl Albrecht, "The last unexploited capital asset we have in business is the gray matter the mental capital. In this challenging new business environment, it makes good sense to invest in upgrading the mental software the knowledge and skills of your people to provide your organization with the thinkers and thought leaders needed to evolve it toward its highest potential." Brain Power is "thinking on your feet" thinking in action.
